Quick Update On Lee & Some Flowerbed Pictures :0)

 Hello my dear blog followers,

I thought I would add a few of the pictures from my flowerbeds. Of course I never got them finished(when Lee gets home from the hospital I can finish them off). I think some of the "weeds" are the prettiest flowers! :0) And how about our toad? Cool huh? We have a bunch of them and the little ones are so cute!!!
I love dandelions. They remind me of my Grandma Reams. She would let me help her pick them along with greens. Then she cooked the greens up and shared them with me. I love the bright cheery yellow of them.
My sister gifted me with  trumpet and honeysuckle plants and they are now starting to bloom. I wish I could have caught the hummingbird drinking form this one. How Lee and I love to watch the hummingbirds.
This isn't such a great picture of this Coral Bell plant(I hadn't weeded around it yet). My sister got me 2 of these and they are so lovely. The green base is so soft and low to the ground, the flowers are shaped like little bells that come up on a wispy greenish-brown stem and the beautiful pinky-peach color is a stand out. The flowers just sway in the breeze. Such a pretty plant!

And now for an update on Lee. This morning the doctors got the test back from all his cultures. It turns out he has TWO infections running through him right now! No wonder he got sick so quick! Sadly, there is no oral antibiotic strong enough that would take care of the infections. So he will be in the hospital till he runs the course of antibiotics intravenously. :0(

I just wanted to let everyone know although I am tied up running back and forth to the hospital that I will have some fun surprises coming your way when he gets home! I still have some packages here that need mailed out and I will take care of all  of them on Friday. :0)

Take care and thank you for all your comments and well wishes. I have passed them all along to Lee. I will try to check all my emails later this evening when I get home. Bear with me I WILL get to all your emails!

Viva Las Vegastamps Blog Hop May 26-27 Using Mary Vogel Lozinak's Stamps

May 26th and 27th Viva Las Vegastamps is having a Blog Hop using stamps designed by Mary Vogel Lozinak. I have a lot of her stamps and just ordered more! They are whimsical, funny and really cool looking. I hope you'll check it out. They have some amazing people on there design team and it should be fun to see what everyone comes up with.

Just for fun I made these two cards. My husband loved the first card . I wish I could really show how using the Sakura stardust clear pen on just about everything makes it "SPARKLE"! This is one of my favorite images, of course her birds are my favorites(let's hope I can finish up my cards using them today so I can join the blog hop)

The High Wire Act card was just fun! I'm going to send it to my sister who feels like she's "hanging  on" most days at work! (hang in there Mary!) Plus she surprised me with these bright turquoise gems that match my cardstock perfectly so I just had to use them on a card for her. I love how adding the bakers twine for her to hang from and the sentiment to look like it's balanced on the "high wire" turned out.

Well, lot's to do and hopefully I will be in the blog hop! Wish me luck! hehe :0)

Take care and as always I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to stamp!

Till my next post...

Terri Sproul Mixers

Hello Again!

I knew I could find a video of her mixers. Believe me even this video doesn't do the colors justice and when you see the iridescent ones on black(or any dark cardstock) you will be blown away!

Terri has a channel on you tube and also does live stream videos of projects every Monday night. You can find her on Facebook too!

Thanks for stopping back!

Till my next post...

Blog Candy For The Drawing On Sunday May 27, 2012

Hello  Everyone!

I had a wonderful "working vacation". Sadly, I still have a lot left on my to do list! :0) I just bit off more than I could possibly do in 10 days. But hey, I found lots of "lost" blog candy items that I had forgotten about. :0)

So for this Sunday I will draw for these 2 prizes. First, the Terri Sproul's Mixers. The "Whole Shebang" set which includes all her Mica Colors, Glass Particle Glitters(these are so beautiful), a bottle of Ultra Fine Glitter(a little goes a long way) , Color Enhance Effects and I'm throwing in a bottle of 3d Crystal Lacquer(from Sakura) to mix the mica powders with to make your own vibrant iridescent paints. But you will be wowed by the color enhancer!!! This dark liquid does unbelievable changes to the mica powder! I wasn't able to load a video of her using it but I will find one and post it later today. The set called the "Whole Shebang" is from Viva Las Vegastamps and is only $149.95 the 3-d Crystal Lacquer from Sakura was $6.99 from Red Letter Journals in Grove City, Ohio for a prize package worth $156.94! Pretty sweet huh!

The second item is the complete set of Tim Holtz new Distress markers. They match every distress [ad he has out. I purchased them for $119. But now you can get them most places for just $89! Hope you like the video. It really gives the best overview I have seen about the markers.

So two great prizes and I wish you all the best of luck! Please remember to post a comment on the blog candy post (a couple back from this one). :0)

If for any reason you are having trouble posting please email me directly at:

As always, I wish you time to create but most of all time to stamp!

Time Machine - Steampunk Style Shadowbox

Hello my dear blog followers,

I am back from my "working vacation" and still have lots on my to do list. I think I bit off more than I could chew for just 10 days! :0)

I wanted to share with you this fabulous Time Machine made by Joe Rotella from Create & Craft. I have seen it in person and all I can say is this is one of the most amazing art pieces I have ever seen. It has been published in Somerset Studio Gallery Magazine Summer 2012. Congrats Joe on being published and having a whole article to boot on it!

I hope you will enjoy this little video as much as my husband and I did. We have both watched it twice!

Joe you did such a wonderful job not only on the art piece but on the video. You have such a nice voice! :0) Can't wait till you do a video of your Steampunk Clock with all the cool gears!

Take care all and my next post will be of the blog candy I will be drawing for on Sunday the 27th! So don't forget to go back a few posts and leave a comment. I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you see the blog candy!

Till my next post...

Lego "Cake" And Cards

Aren't these just so stinkin' cute! It's my nephews birthday on the 22nd. I made him a card and his brother(I didn't want him to feel too left out). I made them each a bit different but I just love how they both turned out!

I cased the bottom card from a card on Splitcoast Stampers. I used the exact colors and set up with the exception my sentiment is different. Her's was an open Happy Birthday, with the letters all colored in the different bright colors of the Legos.

The cards were so fun to make and they really look so much better than my picture shows. I had tried to put the "dots of color" on the cake to make it look like Legos but it ended up looking so awful I just remade it plain. I guess I should have made some kind of boxes instead of "cake slices". I agree with his Mom, the cash in each little slice will be a hit no matter what it looks like! You have to love an easy going Mom! She really knows how to go with the flow!  :0)

Well, enough of a break. Back to my finish my second purge. WHEN DID I BUY ALL THIS STUFF!!! LOL

Take care and I'll be back soon with more pictures from the purge.

Till my next post...Happy Stamping!

My "Working" Vacation & Blog Candy Time!

I am now near the end of my "working vacation".  I think I need 3 weeks instead of just 10 days!!! I have done an initial purge of stamp sets and some cardstocks. I still have to go through all the stamp cabinets, paper, embossing folders, and embellishments. My sister is on vacation and she is doing the same thing. She helped me last night and she took some of my things she really wanted and we have some things for my sister-in-law. But it seems like there is still so much stuff! We had hoped to put together card kits but there is no way I can get it all done in 10 days. It will take another two weeks to put them all together. The nice thing is I have found some really nice stuff for blog candy that I forgot I even had to give away! I have enough blog candy to last for 4 months! :0)

Well, this is what my craft room looks like after the first run through. I won't show you the piles of stuff all over my kitchen counters, table and outside on 4 six foot tables!!! Let's just say my sister and I have a mess! LOL

Hope you enjoy the pictures of it as it is now. I'll take some more after I finish emptying it it some more. :0) I can't wait to get a cozy for my Zing(covered now in a owl pattern cloth), valances and a skirting to cover my cardstock so it won't fade out from all the sun coming through the window.(probably not the best spot for cardstock but I had to make do with this room and that's where it fits. hehe)

Don't you just love my saying I posted! :0)
"Nothing is more exhausting than the task that is never started." Gretchen Ruben
I'm such a procrastinator, so this is a good one for me!

My work space. I love my saying above the ribbon holder.
"It's nice to BE important , but more important to be NICE. "

This is my little work space area. And those little bottles are Terri Sprouls New Mixers along with her glitter, glass glitter and a darken mix. This is the whole set. What do you think??? Hint...what a cool blog candy this would make! :0)

I was so happy when I found these ribbon racks. (3 shelves each stacked on each other) I got them on Etsy. I did't want a rack that I had to pull them off a rod. This is so much easier. Just lift them out when using.

Love my punches and my clip rack. It's too full now so I need to purge it too. have unlimited space! LOL :0)

I finally have my drawers all labeled and where I want them. I wish I hadn't gotten the 12x12 paper holder on this storage unit. I find it hard to get the paper in and out and liked it better in the little storage unit like the one on the right under my workspace.

How do you like that bow maker? It is so nice. I got it through Our Daily Bread Designs. It was designed by Becca Freeken. I have 2 to give away for blog candy! They come with a DVD of how to make 6 different bows. So easy to use!

Perfect storage for my sticker maker, big shot, grand calibur, bind it all, mini sewing machine and some folders for this and that.

And don't you just love my collection of Raku pots on top of my stamp cabinets. They are done by my cousin Steve Chick. So talented! When the sun comes in late afternoon to evening you can see the colors change. I just love all the blue-greens and copper! Makes me feel creative just looking at them! :0)

Just a closer view of some of my storage. I love having the baskets with the stamp sets. Everything is labeled and in alphabetical order. I put a small piece of cardstock inside under the clear box so I would see the name of the stamp set better. But I love my Kaisercraft binders with the pouches and magnetic sheets to hold my dies. Each binder has different companies and within companies I have decorative separate from basic shapes and tags. It works well for me and keeps them neat and accessible.

Well, that's the tour for today! Take care and I will post all the stuff we pull out and how it looks on all the tables when were done!

So here's the question for Blog Candy: (please make sure you post your answer here on this post...thank you)

What is your favorite storage you use with your scrapbooking and stamping supplies?

I will draw for a surprise blog candy on Sunday the 27th. I'll post a picture of the blog candy then.
