It's Blog Candy Time Again!

http://www.ourdailybreaddesigns.com/BeccasPegBowMaker.html

The blog candy today is all about ribbons! I'm giving away a Beccas Peg Bow Maker! It's not like some of the small other peg bow makers you see. They work fine of course but I like the weight of Becca's when I'm making a bow.  It doesn't slide around when your using it and I love that I can hold my most used rolls of ribbon on it. If you go to the link it will show the bow maker and a link to how it is made. Very high quality!

The bow maker comes with a video on how to make 6 different bows. It's easy to follow and they come out so perfect! So if you love adding a bow to your card projects, other crafting projects or just love to use them to do special bows on gifts, this is the bow maker for you!

The question for the blog candy is:

Do you often use bows on your cards or other craft projects?

Just leave your answer on this post.

I will draw for the winner on Sunday June 17, 2012. Good Luck to you all!

As always, I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to stamp!

Till my next post...

  1. oooh sounds lovely. I made my own bowmaker ... a piece of timber, drilled some holes and shoved some pieces of dowel wood in. I did cover the base with some scrapbook paper and I actually didn't mind the end result. I use it often!

But it looks nothing like this! and you can't hold a roll of ribbon on there either ... I can see why you love yours so much Shirley!

I do use bows on my cards ... often very small ones. I would like to make some nice big ones like on the video .. they looked gorgeous.

I often put little bows on toys I have knitted and always on packages when I wrap them.

Thank you for a chance to win .... have a wonderful day.

  8. I'm totally impressed. The bow maker is a gem. I don't do a lot of bows because I'm not too good at it. This is an awesome little tool. All paper crafters need one! Hope I win! Thanks, Shirley for offering it up.

  9. Hi Shirley,

I like to use ribbons on my projects, and do so frequently. I do not use bows often, as I have to have someone else tie them. (I have man hands!)

  10. I wish I used ribbon more. I have so much great ribbon, and I love the way it looks on cards and scrapbook pages. Then why don't I use it? No idea. I actually tie a nice single bow. I did find the video fascinating, and I'm very intrigued by this blog candy! Maybe it will inspire my inner ribbon goddess!

  11. I've never seen this bow maker before. I use a smaller version of it. I like that you can store ribbon on this one. Very handy. I use bows on almost all my cards. Love to make them. Thanks for the chance to win this, Shirley. Hope all is well at home.

  12. I like to use ribbon on a card when I need something linear on the front. I like bows but they don't come out like I'd hoped most of the time. Lord knows I have enough ribbon! If I had this bow maker I could do a better job. Paula

  13. I don't make lots of cards, but I have added ribbon to some that I've made and I do love the look of bows on cards. I often peek at all the cards on splitcoast stampers and some of the bows are so darn cute and professional-looking! Jill S.

  16. I use bows from time to time. I tend to use ribbon more as a decorative element because I am severely bow challenged.Batia

  17. I tend to use more flat ribbon than bows--probably because I struggle with bows. I tie and untie to get a nice bow until the ribbon is tattered. Another reason for few bows is that most of my cards are mailed and I worry that they would get destroyed in transit.

  18. I like to use ribbons whenever I can. I even design cards for my ribbons. When I visit our local craft store I look at the diffferent ribbons and contemplate all the diffent cards and craft projects I do with each one I purchase.Tammy T

  20. Hi Shirley - I hope you sold out really quickly today; I would be surprised if you didn't. TERRIFIC sale; I love all my stuff, even though I haven't even had time to go through it all. Thanks for the great deals, and thank you for explaining to me how to get to and enjoy your blog!

I love the look of ribbons and bows on cards and scrapbook pages, but tend to use more ribbon than bows - because I simply cannot make a bow that looks presentable. Thank you for the chance to win the bow maker!
