The Blog Candy Winner Is...

The winner of the blog candy is:

#10 KAF

Congrats! Please contact me and let me know if you would like me to mail it to you or drop it off at Red Letter Journals for you. I will be there for card swap tommorw at 3PM.

I hope to post cards tomorrow from our card swap. But for now I better get on the stick and finish mine! Boy did I wait till the last minute on this one! :0)

As always I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to stamp!

Till my next post...

PS. Thankfully when I got home from my class at Red Letter Journals our neighbor was kind enough to help Lee set up yet another router box for our internet. It got hit by the lighting yesterday. This time it fried our surge protector, the router and left black marks all around it on my freezer top where we keep it. When it hit it was like an explosion in the house!  I was so worried all day as to how I was going to be able to draw the winner! It was so nice of our neighbor to get us back on line.  :0)

It's Blog Candy Time!

I apologize for not only being late on posting this but the picture quality. I am having major problems with my camera. If you really want to see a more true to color picture of the goodies you could go to We R Memory Keepers the "Down On The Boardwalk" set. This is so appropriate for blog candy since it's the first day of summer.  So without further ado here is the blog candy....

Here it is all boxed up. It fills it to the top! Lot's of goodies! :0)

2 each of 12x12 solid matching cardstock in Boardwalk Sand, Boardwalk Sunshine, Boardwalk Pier, Boardwalk Ocean, Boardwalk Seaweed and Boardwalk Coral(don't you just love the names).

2  12x12 single sided heavy glitter paper "Sea Breeze"

2 double sided shaped paper "Snorkel" (I love the bubble edges)
1 pack 21pc's layered chipboard, 1-6pc bottle caps, 1-15pc label plates & brads, 1 package crochet lace 3 colors of 36 inches each

Again, I can't tell you how sorry I am for being late and the poor quality of the photos!

Now here is the blog candy question:

What is your favorite summertime activity?

I can't wait to read your answers. Good Luck to you all! I will be drawing for this blog candy on Saturday June 30th, 2012.  And now for my answer...

Mine is swimming. I could live in a pool all summer long. There's nothing like it. It's the only thing I like about summer(my least favorite season!)

Got Lobster???

Yep it was a lobster. I saw this idea on Lynn Pratt's website in 2010 and have been waiting for the right moment to use it. Our dear friend Joe Rotella's favorite meal is lobster and what better excuse to use it! It is made with punches except for the lemons. They are from the Tart & Tangy Stampin Up set(now retired) stamped and cut out. The sentiment is computer generated on whisper white cardstock. I couldn't get the little legs on the lobster sides right so after a few tries I finally gave up and figured this was as good as it would get!  LOL

If you would like to see how it should really look you can check out Lynn Pratt's website Stamp-N-Design, her August 5, 2010 post. It's much better than mine!

Lee and I gave this to our dear friend Joe Rotella along with his birthday card I made using the brayer techniques I learned from a class I took from Michelle Zindorf.

Above is just the card and below we set in a gift box of craft colored shreds. We can't wait to take him out for his birthday dinner!
Here is the birthday card(sorry not such a good picture).

I hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I did making them.

Later this evening I will post the new blog candy. Think Summer Fun!

Can You Guess What This Will Be?

I bet you will be able to tell what this will be.

Tomorrow I will post what it is and the new blog candy.

So Leave me your answer on this post and let's see how many of you figure it out. :0)

Till my next post...

What A Day We Had Yesterday!

Starting to dig out around the well.
That's my hubby Lee in the wheelchair. :0) Those two cute little dogs are Lilly and Lizzy my neighbor Tonia's dogs. She is the one who gave us our Yorkie, Jasper! She was kind enough to lend me a cooler for the garage sale and she stopped by to pick it up. I told her I was getting a pool finally! I wish! hehe
Yuck! it doesn't look too deep but they went down a little bit more than 3 feet to get to the pipe.
Getting it filled back in. They were done in no time flat!

As you can tell from the photo's we had a wild start of the day. Just last week we noticed our water pressure was bad and we thought it was the pressure pump that brings the water into the house from the well. (that's right we live in the boonies no city water here...just good old well water! LOL) But it turned out to be a worn out fitting at the actual well. That ended up being a easy fix.

Well, on Sunday Lee realized water was leaking around the well site. (I should have realized since my flowers were doing so well and I hadn't had to water them!) That's when they found out that it was a leak in the pipe that actually brings the water into the house. We needed it dug out and their back hoe was in the shop.

I tell you we are the most blessed, lucky, fortunate(whatever you want to call it) people in the world! Our lawn service company is Hostettler's Lawn Care. Of course over the years we think of them more as friends. They have done so much for us and taken care of lots of little extras with out ever taking a cent. They have been a friend to us in many a tight spot and Ray the owner came through for Lee again. His brother-in-law has a back hoe and he got in touch with him and then he sent someone over with it right then! They had it taken care of in less than 2 hours! Now you can see why we think we are the most blessed people around!

I have to say as our home ages(18 years old this year) it has been one experience after another to keep it all fixed! LOL  Who says home ownership isn't FUN!!! HA!

Well, hope you enjoyed the photos. Come back later today, I'll be posting early the blog candy's a fun one this time!

Till my next post...

Sorry I'm posting this at the last minute!!!!

We were without Internet service till 4:30pm. Or I would have posted earlier.  Let me just say without the help of Amy, Phillip, Betty, Joe R and Joe M the "inside craft sale" would be a mess! They came for the evening and stayed till 11PM!!! They helped move tables, price and bag hundreds of sheets of card stock , stamps and other fun stuff!

I still have more stamp sets and stamps to price but they got most of it done for me! I have the best friends in the world!

Tonya, from Red Letter Journals said I should have advertised on my blog for people who are local but I didn't think I had that much stuff. But between my sister and I we have quite a bit! So If anyone sees this and you live in the area your welcome to stop by! Let me know you saw it on my website!

The sale starts Saturday June 16th form 11AM to 4PM(that's if it isn't all sold out early! We have things marked to sale! :0)

I will have a silver and gold star balloons on my mailbox as long as we have things to sell.

The address is:
6865 US Highway 42 South
Plain City, Ohio  43064

We are close to the intersection of US Highway 42 and Price-Hillard Road and Just 7 miles north of Route 70 and 4 miles south of 161 (The Der Dutchman Restaurant is on the left side as you come south on 42)

Don't worry if you missed out...there is plenty of blog candy to come!!!

Hope to see you!

It's Blog Candy Time Again!

The blog candy today is all about ribbons! I'm giving away a Beccas Peg Bow Maker! It's not like some of the small other peg bow makers you see. They work fine of course but I like the weight of Becca's when I'm making a bow.  It doesn't slide around when your using it and I love that I can hold my most used rolls of ribbon on it. If you go to the link it will show the bow maker and a link to how it is made. Very high quality!

The bow maker comes with a video on how to make 6 different bows. It's easy to follow and they come out so perfect! So if you love adding a bow to your card projects, other crafting projects or just love to use them to do special bows on gifts, this is the bow maker for you!

The question for the blog candy is:

Do you often use bows on your cards or other craft projects?

Just leave your answer on this post.

I will draw for the winner on Sunday June 17, 2012. Good Luck to you all!

As always, I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to stamp!

Till my next post...

Blog Candy Time!

Well, the day really has gotten away from me. I had planned on posting so much earlier today. I have two of these Recipe type boxes and paper sets to give away.

The paper is so cute. I have one of the boxes but I use mine for greeting cards. It is a very nice size box that could be altered in so many ways.

Here are pictures of the papers, stickers and chipboard that make up the paper package. I want to let you know there will be one extra gift in each package. And as always, I will draw for one surprise package too! :0)

To enter for the blog candy and the surprise gift leave your answer to the following question on this post. And the blog candy question is:

Do you have a fun memory of when you first started cooking? Or were you a natural?

My first memory of really learning to cook was in 10th grade Home Economics Class. I even thought it was fun learning how to wash dishes properly.(yes, there was an order in which we learned to wash the dishes). I loved the smell of the food cooking. We learned how do do the basics and by 12th grade I felt like I knew my way around the kitchen. I still cook everyday but with just Lee and I not so much fancy stuff. We save that for when we have company!

Well, I can't wait to hear your answers. Good luck to you all!

I will draw for the winners on Sunday June 10th, 2012
