Hot Off The Press 3-D Paper Tole Sheets

Hi Everyone!

Just a quick video to show you one of my favorite items I picked up at the Scrapbook Expo in Columbus, Ohio last weekend.

I made a mistake on the video. You put the layers together with pop dots NOT glue dots. OOPS! :0)

This video really didn't come out very well but believe me they would be so nice on your scrapbook pages and make great cards! I promise to post my cards I make with them as soon as I get them done.

Well, I will keep this short since tomorrow I will be drawing for the winners of the blog candy. (Yes...I did say winners as in more than 1, more than 2 more than 3...LOTS! hehe)

So quick reminder: Go to Flamingo card post and post your 3 favorite stamps from Viva Las Vegastamps(www.VLVS.com) and you could win all 3 of them!
The link to the online store is under "Places I Like To Shop" right here on my blog. Have fun looking at all their great stamps!

Good luck to all and be back tomorrow evening with he winners. :0)

So if you haven't seen the post I hope you will check it out. THE BIG SURPRISE IS: if you answered the question for what was your Favorite VIVA LAS VEGASTAMP, I will be drawing on March 30th for a winner of their favorite stamp/stamps!(it's such a large site and this will give you time to look around)

OK, so if you already posted that's OK. You can still post again and put your top 3 stamps on there. And if you haven't...well...get going! You've got a couple of weeks to "shop" for your own blog candy! LOL

So go have some fun "shopping" and as always I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to stamp!

Till my next post...

Some Day's My Brain Just Isn't In Gear! LOL :0)

Just a quick post to let you know I forgot to post 7 sets of wedding stickers from Jolee's on the blog candy post late last night(and I mean late).

I have them posted now. So if you already posted a comment(which some have) I hope you'll go back and check them out.

The bridesmaid sticker set is damaged. It's just the letters though so I think you'll still be able to get some use out of it. :0)

Thank you to Diane McNeill of Scrapbook Additions for helping me out with the paper pack and sticker sets to add to the wedding items from Tonya of Red Letter Journals in Grove City, Ohio.

Some people may hate it when they make a mistake. I use to get so upset with myself and from time to time I still do. But it seems not so much anymore. I realize that with each mistake I become something more...something better! What have I learned from this? How will it make me better? My blog better?

I will be more organized! I will have the peace of mind that I know when I post I have all the items ready to go. Such a simple thing to learn and to implement!!! I love these kind of mistakes...keeps me on my toes.

So don't forget to check out the new stickers posted.

Now on to a new post with a surprise!

It's Blog Candy Time!

Well, it's about time I got this posted! :0) I have to say this is so much prettier in person. The wedding album is actually flocked. I was given all these items except the small paper pack by Tonya of Red Letter Journals in Grove City, Ohio. Again Tonya, thank you so much for your generosity!

I also have a blog candy surprise for anyone who posted on my VIVA LAS VEGASTAMPS FLAMINGO CARD! So look for the announcement on that tomorrow morning. :0)

The 12 x 12 papers have a nice sheen and there is one that is flocked. The stickers are so sweet. They would make wonderful cards too. Even the album with it's case would make a lovely little girls keepsake box and scrapbook. The little paper pack is from Scrapbook Additions an online company run by Diane McNeill. The papers are all shimmer or metallic. Oh so pretty in soft pastel shades.

SORRY ON MY FIRST POST I FORGOT TO POST THESE 7 SETS OF JOLEE'S STICKERS!!!(OK, the real scoop is I just found them going through the bags and boxes of blog candy I have set aside. I knew it seemed like I had forgotten something. I was right! HA!) They are from Diane McNeill's Scrapbook Additions Online company. :0)

So as usual to be entered to win just answer the following question on this post. The question for this blog candy is:

What is your favorite Wedding or Commitment Ceremony memory either your own or a wedding you have attended?

I have a few. The last one is a bit of a tearjerker..so don't say I didn't warn you! (Barb please don't be upset but it is one of my favorite memories)

One when Lee & I married. When we got to the part "for richer or poorer", Lee started to laugh on the "poorer" he couldn't say it! I guess he knew my addiction to stamping would keep us in the poor house! LOL (not really but close...hehe)

Second, when my brother Dan got married in September 2000. I loved Dan's wife, Lisa's shoes! She had the cutest lacy tennis shoes. And the dancing...oh the dancing! Their wedding was laid back and very informal but fun fun fun! And we found out my other brother David had gotten engaged and Lisa was so kind to include Barb in the family wedding pictures!

And third. When my brother David married to Barb in December 2000. They moved up the wedding because her Father was very ill. And as it turned out so was our Father. I will always remember the loving way Barb's Father looked at her when they had the Father daughter dance. Their wedding was very formal and so elegant. Still very fun but it shows how different and lovely my whole family is! We are a wonderful bunch of people! Sadly both our Fathers passed away shortly after but it is a wonderful memory because all my family was there and for Barb so was hers. :0)

So good luck to you all...I look forward to hearing your memory or memories!

Don't forget to stop back tomorrow morning for my announcement for the people who posted on my VLVS Flamingo card!

365 Days Challenge Day 7

Hello my dear blog followers!

I had stumbled this a website that has a card challenge everyday.(hopefully the page will come up so you can see the challenge.)

http://365cards.blogspot.com/2012/03/day-7-color-scheme.html

This was day 7. Three colors were the challenge. They were a green, purple and turquoise color.

I used Perfect Plum, Certain Celery and Tempting Turquoise along with the polka-a-dot paper in each color. I used a scallop border punch I rarely use and made layers on top of a embossed polka-a-dot Perfect Plum layer. Added a Tempting Turquoise and Certainly Celery ribbon. The image was done with a set called Pocket Silhouettes. The butterflies were cut out using an embosslets die called Beautiful Wings on the Big Shot machine. Adding tiny pearls to each of the butterfly center and attaching them with glue dots was the finishing touch. All supplies are from Stampin Up.

I can't wait to do tomorrows challenge! Maybe I will put the layers on evenly! hehe Can you tell the image is a bit off when I attached it. Unfortunately I used tacky tape so I couldn't move it to even it out. Uneven or not it was fun to play along. So here's to doing a better job tomorrow! :0)

Take care my dear stamping friends and as always I hope you have time to Stamp!

Till my next post...

Pansies Made With Butterfly Punch (Video Included!)

FIRST OFF: A BIG thank you to my sister Mary for taking the video of me! I have soooo much fun doing them with her! It's so funny, we do two trial runs and they go so well then we tape and something always starts me laughing...no wait it's my sister that makes me laugh!!! So please forgive the laughter. And I know I went a bit fast but I hope you can kind of follow what I did. ENJOY!

I am in the monthly card swap at Red Letter Journals in Grove City, Ohio. We meet at 3pm on the first Sunday of every month. How it works is that each month we learn a new technique to use in our card making. Then the following month we bring back 6 cards (all the same) made using that technique.

Last month we used punches. So that was out mission to use punches on our cards this month. I was recently at the regional Stampin Up convention and they had a demo of the flowers made with the butterfly punch. I had seen a video of it done a bit differently by Darlene on her you tube channel "itsaninkstampede". So I mixed the two together and came up with this type of punch pansy. I hope you will like it.

Now down to the nitty gritty of the card supplies and measurements.

I really like doing a gate fold card. Here are the basic measurements used in this card.
Take a 11 x 4 1/4-inch piece of cardstock and score lines at 3 1/2 inches from the left and 2 inches from the right.
Decorative paper cut at 3 1/4 x 4-inch piece for left side
Decorative paper cut at 1 3/4-inch piece for right side
Stamp image on piece measuring 3 7/8 x 2 3/8-inch white
then layer onto pieces measuring 4 x 2 1/2 inches then onto last layer 4 1/8 x 2 5/8 inches.
Remember to mount this piece on the left side only! I used pop dots to give it a little lift.

Supplies used(all Stampin Up unless noted):
cardstock: Shimmer White, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight
Marker: Elegant Eggplant
Ribbon: 1/2-inch scallop dots Elegant Eggplant
Sticky Tape
Stampin Dimensionals
Butterfly Punch, Bird Builder Punch(greenery)
Stamp Set: Word Play
IRock Tool from Imageinisce along with the crystals in clear(you could use a brad instead)

MY TIP FOR TODAY:

I also wanted to say using the "Tacky Tape" can be a pain when you peel off the pink covering. It seems to stick to everything. So when I am doing a project like this where I am using a lot of it. I use a scrap piece of paper covered with Scotch Brand Double Sided Tape. I cover the paper and then when I peel it off I just press it down onto the sticky surface! It makes it so much neater to work. Plus now that I have a cat(still a kitten) he likes to be in the room with me while I stamp. He thinks anything that drops is a toy. So after he ate a piece one day I knew I needed to think of a way to keep it from happening again! And yes Woody is fine but it made for an interesting couple of days waiting for it to pass! hehe :0)

I also wanted to say I am a bit behind on posting BLOG CANDY...EEK!!! So hang in there. By weeks end I should have something fabulous posted! :0)

Gift From Down Under

Oh my do I feel like Queen for a week! hehe

One day I got Karen's beautiful card and date book and two days later I got this wonderful package from Carly who lives in Australia. MY BLOG FOLLOWERS ARE SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!

I just had to video this gift Carly. It wouldn't do it justice if I didn't. I can't begin to tell you how much it means to me not to just have you following my blog or the lovely gifts you have sent. But for your friendship. I love each and every email and love visiting your blog and seeing your creative mind at work. You have a beautiful family. Madalyn is so cute and what a sweetie!!! Gift from Karen

Hi Everyone!

I have been working on so many projects I've really neglected my blog. :0( I received two packages this past week and just had to share them. (the other gift is on a separate post)

First let me say thank you Karen for my lovely gift. I have it sitting on my work space so everyday I can be reminded of your kindness and generosity. I also wanted to say I bet you were wondering if I got it!!! It apparently was delivered to another house it had marked on it sent to wrong address! So I just got it from the reroute. I think it was sent to a Sheryl Wheeler in our area. It has happened before.

Karen I hope you don't mind me posting a video of it. Pictures just wouldn't show how wonderful your creation was!

I guess all I can say is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!(and it still doesn't seem like enough)

And to all my blog followers, I want to thank each and everyone of you for your comments and stopping by and telling others about my blog. I feel like everyday is Christmas with blog followers like you!!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful day and your weekend was filled with love, laughter and lots of STAMPING! LOL :0)

Till my next post...
