Handmade Paper Flowers & Embellishments By DeeDee Catron of Um Wow Studio

Are these not beautiful flowers, hat pins and butterflies! DeeDee Catron is so talented! I think right now she is updating her Etsy site but will be back soon. :0)

Her Esty Site is:
you can also see a link here on my blog in the right hand bar, under blogs I follow.

I'm sending her off some really cool papers and things and she is going to do some special flowers and things for an upcoming blog candy. I'm so excited to see what she comes up with!

I'll be posting more on my first Stampin Up Regional Convention on a later post. I can't believe I made 108 swap cards and walked out of the house without them! Oh well, I still had fun! But more on the convention later.

Take care and hope you are all having a great weekend!

Stampin Up Regional Convention

Hello dear blog followers!

I am so excited that tomorrow I am going to my very first Stampin Up Regional Convention. My hubby(Lee) already took on a dry run so I know where to go. It's pretty easy to find from my house. So I shouldn't have any problems. I've decided to dress comfortably so I can really enjoy the day. I will take my camera and get as many pictures as my camera will hold.

They have a card swap and all cards need to be made with all current Stampin Up products. Makes sense!

This is my card. I love how it turned out. I had started to 50 than did 50 more. I cut up enough to do another 50 but ended up not finishing them in time. So I will have 108 cards to swap! I can't wait to see the other cards.

Supplies used:

Sahara Sand ink, paper
Marina Mist ink , paper and 1 1/4 grosgrain stripped ribbon
Whisper White paper
Antique Brads
Sticky Tape
Adhesive snail tape
Stamp-a-ma-jig(I can't live without this tool!)
Paper-Piercing tool

When I go to finish off the ones I have already cut out, I will make a short video. I hope the other demonstrators will like them. I will post all of my swaps too.

Well, it's off to bed for me. Morning will be here in no time. Hopefully I will be able to sleep!

Take care and as always my dear friends I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to stamp!

Spiderman Spiderman, cutest boxes in the land...Watch out! Spiderman!

I had so much fun making these for my nephews Valentine's Day party. He's getting to old for the little kiddy stuff. And this is his last year of these kind of parties. When did he get so big!

I had made a Batman box too but he really needed something red so Spiderman was the way to go!

I learned how to do these by watching videos on one of my favorite Stampin Up demonstrators website. Her name is Tami White and she is awesome. I hope you will check out her site. The link is on the side with the blogs I follow. She has an amazing amount of how to videos. Let me know if you stopped by her site and what you liked best.

I also have to post this picture of one with really big eyes on the right(my first one I made). I am laughing as I type this!!! Lee looked at it and said "What is this? Spiderman's LUNGS!" I about fell on the floor laughing! Lee is so funny! And let's face it they look like lungs!

As always I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to STAMP!

Just A Few Things To Know About Some Of The Features On My Blog Site :0)

Hello again my dear blog followers!

I just wanted to take a moment and share a few of the features on my blog site. I hope they will be useful to you. :0)

First, the "color Lab" button on the right side of the site. If you click on it you will find a wealth of information. It helps pull colors together using not just Stampin Up's current and discontinued colors but also Close To My Hearts and it gives you a color matching for your Copic markers too! I find this site invaluable. I hope you will take a minute to check it out.

I also put on a "Subscribe" feature. That way you can be notified when I do post something new. I love having this feature for my favorite blog sites that way I know I don't miss any of their new creations and what's new in their lives! :0)

There is also a Search feature on the site. So if you are looking for something I did but can't remember what post, just type in some key words and that should pull up the post or posts. :0)

And last I didn't know I can reply to your comments right underneath them! Can you tell I'm still learning! hehe So from now on if you ask a question I promise to reply on the post. I hope the ones I did via email have gotten to you. I'm thinking it doesn't work that way. Your comments are so important to me. They make my blog FUN FUN FUN!!!

Take care and let me know how you like the color lab! I'd love to hear if it is something you would use.

Stamping hugs,

Red Theme Swap

Hello my dear blog followers. This has to be one of my favorite swaps our little card group has done. The theme was "red". Let me tell you a bit about each one. And let me say I'm not sure why the inside of the card photos show sideways on this post. They don't on my photos? I ask myself "will I ever get it all down pat"? LOL

1st card is mine:
I "cased" this card from Lisa(lisaadd) off Splitcoast Stampers website. I used a different sentiment and the decorative cardstock I used was red with pink dots. Since I wanted it to be white dots I just used my trusty Signo White Gel Pen to color over the pink dots so I got the look I wanted.

2nd card is by Mary(my sister):
She used a Coronado Island stamp on leather. Each one she did was a bit different due the leather but I thought it made them unique! I posted 2 pictures of the cards so you could see the differences. Great Job Mary!

3rd card is by Diane:
Doesn't this remind you of a box of chocolates! I don't know how well you can see the background paper she used but it is so sweet. Nice card Diane!

4th card is by Susan:
Can you believe all the work she did on this card! I had to post 2 views so you could see the dimension of the hearts. It reminds me of butterfly wings! It has such nice dimension. The card has a very clean and simple elegance to it. Wonderful work Susan!

5th card is by Jeanne:
She did a very clean look also with a simple touch of the ribbon. I also like how she decorated the envelope. I really love the image she used. I have it too and need to use it more often! Great Job Jeanne!

6th card is by Sonja:
Don't you love how she added white to the main color red?! The image embossed in white on the red is stunning! Very elegant. Wonderful Job Sonja!

7th Card is by Barb M.:
Isn't the turtle holding the heart balloons with a birdie on his back adorable!!! She always does the inside too. Barb, I want you to know I used this card this Valentine's day! I just had to use it. It was so cute. Great Job Barb!!!

8th card is by Paula:
I really don't know where to begin with this card! The border, the colors, the double layered star??? This card is so detailed not only outside but inside too! I know you spent A LOT of time on your cards Paula and it shows. Super Great Job Paula!

I hope you have enjoyed these cards as much as I have swapping for them! :0)

Take care and as always I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to STAMP! :0)

No Matter What Comes Our Way...WOO HOO! :0)

I've heard it said bad things happen in 3's but wouldn't you know it mine come in 4's! (not really bad things per say, let's just call them incidents) LOL

First off I injured my elbow over a week ago. Boy does it hurt(and burn). Had it checked and it's a torn tendon. Good news no breaks or fractures. Woo Hoo! :0)

Then Monday we had our van repaired. Let me say now I will forever be careful of running up over curbs!(I really damaged the ramp for the wheelchair). Good news paid cash and it's fixed. Woo Hoo! :0)

Then on Tuesday(yesterday) Lee had an appointment to have his yearly ultrasound of his liver, bladder and kidneys. Normally I would go back if he needed help transferring from his wheelchair to the examining table. But with my arm in a sling, I sat this one out. When he came out of the room he had marks over and to the side of his right eye. It seems Lee lost his balance so he fell against the table and hit the metal trim. Lee said he hit it so hard he saw stars. He said he thought he was going to pass out. This morning he has one heck of a shiner! He was getting help but they didn't know to wait and threw Lee off balance. Good news, he'll live! hehe We talked and realized that this new facility are not used to Quadriplegics like him. From now on no matter what I will be with him to make sure he has safe transfers. Most of all we can laugh about it and he's OK! Woo Hoo! :0)

Then last night after I got home from a really fun "31 party" I thought it was really getting chilly in the house. That's because our furnace went out! Good news, we have electric heaters on in every room...temp in house 79 degrees! Help me I'm about to sit around in a swim suit! It's hotter in here now then when we run the furnace!!! We're scheduled for repair service! Woo Hoo! :0)
update; lucky again the part is only $175! Woo Hoo!

So no matter what comes our way...Woo Hoo! :0) We are going to see the funny/bright side of it no matter what. We are going to be grateful for what we DO have! Things are good! Life is good! Lee and I may feel like we lead boring lives compared to some but life keeps us on our toes(as well as our aging appliances...hehe).

Best of all we got some snow today! I've been waiting for winter to finally get here. Right now it is softly falling. Oh so pretty. I hope you are all staying safe and warm.

As always, I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to stamp!

Testing 1,2, 3...Blog Candy

Yes Babe was right! If you know me there is always a little something more to come! This is going to serve two purposes. I am having so much trouble understanding how to post my Widget, you know the little box that shows the wining numbers. So, I am going to ask my sister-in-law who will be here this Saturday for our family game day to help me learn how to do it. That way from now on you can see the numbers drawn. And the second purpose is to give everyone who didn't win a second chance at some fun items! I really wish I could give something to everyone! :0)

So if possible I will draw on Saturday...if we get it figured out. :0) Their are 2 prizes available. Prize #1 the set from K&Co with the lovely birds. Prize #2 the Vintage Vogue papers, embellishments and little ink pads.

To win post your answer to this question on this blog post. :0)

What other hobby or hobbies do you enjoy other than card making or scrapbooking?

I look forward to your answers! And as always I wish you time to be creative and most of all time to stamp!

Some Days Even Your Best Efforts Just Aren't Enough! :0)

Well, I have to say I really tried to figure out why I couldn't get the videos to work. I now know what is happening. My memory card(cheap)only holds enough memory for about 5 minutes of video(if that). So I taped all these videos that kept just going black right near the end! I thought it was the batteries. Let's not even go into how many I threw away thinking they were bad! UGH!

So, tomorrow I will be going to get a new card that will allow me more time to tape. I have learned that the card is fine for lots of pictures but not for filming video. I think I learn something new everyday! That's a good thing!

Please bear with me as I get all my videos together. I will post them all as soon as I can.(hopefully by Saturday)

Thank you so much for your understanding and I have enjoyed all your comments to my questions for upcoming blog candy. You are all so inventive and I like the way you think!!! :0)

Take care and take time to stamp!
