Card For David...Week 24

I just loved how cute this card turned out. I used only More Mustard ink from Stampin Up. The background is a stamp from Close To my Heart, the small little border is a foam stamp from Stampendous and the lion is from Stampin Up. I used some twine to make the mane and to attach the layers through More Mustard eyelets(Stampin Up) It's sad the only time I use my sewing supplies is on cards!

On the inside I wrote "No lion we hope your having a grrreat week!" I just crack myself up! :0)

Take care and I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to stamp!

Here Comes The Sun!

What a beautiful sunrise we had this morning. I couldn't help but take pictures. This has been such a hard month and watching the sunrise this morning made me feel like things are looking up.

Like the George Harrison's song lyrics say: "Here comes the sun, here comes the sun...and I say it's alright!" ( Aren't the Beatles Great!)

Enjoy your day :0)

Card For David...Week 25

I can't believe that I'm at the half way point now. I just couldn't get a good picture of this card. It is a soft brown and soft grayish-green. The stamp is from a Canadian Company called Magenta Rubber stamps. I used a natural texture cardstock and stamped the images in a rust color.

Hope everyone has a great weekend with time to be creative and most of all time to stamp!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all. I love how my card turned out. I used my new Beaded Circle Spellbinders, I bought from Scrapbook Additions. (you will see a link to Diane's site on my blog. A quick plug for Diane. She is so good about getting her customers what they are looking for. If you can't find it on her site just ask! I tell you she comes through for me month after month. Thanks Diane for going out of your way to get me these Spellbinder dies for a great price. I appreciate it and looking forward to getting all the dies from you!!!)

Ok, back to the card. Supplies used:

Sampin Up cardstock in Whisper White, Basic Black and Galore Green. Stampin Up ribbon in Basic Black Satin.
Stamps form Close To My Heart
Ink: Black Stazon and Stampin up Galore Green
Spellbinders Beaded Circles

I wish you could see the raised spots that I highlighted on the circle. It really adds dimension. The dies are so easy to use too. I will be using these Spellbinders Dies more often now. Hope you enjoyed the card.

Well, take care all. Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I wish you time to be creative and most of all time to stamp!

Birthday Cards For Neighbor Kids

Friday is the neighbor kids birthday. The twins (Anthony & Regina) will be 11 years old. Or is it 12? I tell you I am doing good to just keep track of my nieces and nephews. I think they will like them. They look much better in person than my poor photos!

The duck card was done with punches. The flower card has a little bit of glitter on it. What girl doesn't like a little bling. All the supplies used are from Stampin Up.

Now back to cleaning up around here from when we had all the water in the house. I am looking at this as early "Spring Cleaning"!(It will be spring before I get it all done. ha!)

Take care and I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to stamp!

Card For David...Week 26

Well, another week closer to my brother David's 50th birthday. I went with the green theme since it will be St. Patrick's Day when he gets it. I made this using left overs from a monthly scrapbooking kit I got years ago. I loved the polka dot alphabet stickers it came with. It feels good to use up some of the things I have had sitting around. Since moving my craft area to another room, it feels like Christmas. It has also been a reminder how easy it is for me to hoard paper supplies! :0)

Take care and I wish you time to be creative and most of all time to stamp!

Jasper Picks Blog Candy Winner...And The Winner Is....

Ok, so I thought it would be fun to let Jasper draw the winner. He likes to play with the paper so I figured I would give it a try. Lee and I at least got a laugh out of him doing it. I cut out strips and put everyone's name in. I folded them up and he went for it. The only thing bad is to take it away from him. Wet, torn...yuck! As you can see in the picture..The winner is Denise! Congrats! And since you are follower of my blog you will be getting 2 extra surprise gifts!

Hopefully by my next blog candy I will have figured out how to get the random number draw on my blog that so many other people use. :0)

I also am giving prizes out this month for the first and last comment. First comment by Debb and Last by Monica. (Hint...I may do one or the other every blog candy draw)I'll post pictures of those later on tonight.

Well, I'm already working on my next blog candy so stay tuned! :0)

I wish you time to be creative but most of all time to stamp!

Drawing for Winner of Blog Candy...Reminder :0)

I just wanted to first thank you all for your wonderful comments. It has been pretty tough around here with all the water problems. As I type this we have 5 1/4 inches of water in our vents. We are having our septic tank drained today. I hope it will help. I don't want to turn on our furnace yet until the water is gone. I don't have it in me to wash anymore walls...again! hehe

Just to let you know there is still some time to enter for the fabulous blog candy! I will be drawing for the blog candy(and I have a few extra prizes too) on Sunday. Good luck to you all. I really enjoyed your comments on why you like paper crafting. Seeing your comments on any of my blog posts is so appreciated! :0)

Hope you are all happy, safe and dry! But most of all I wish you time to be creative and most of all time to stamp!

Water In Vents + Furnace Running = Huge Humidifier

Well, like the title of this post says it's pretty damp in the house. Sadly when our home was built they didn't tie us into the drainage tile at the back of our lot. We are on a slab which now has a crack somewhere in the foundation so the water comes up into our vents. It's too cold not to run the furnace (and running the furnace dries out the vents) so it's like this huge humidifier. Every window in our house is covered in moisture and it is dripping from our ceilings and down the walls. What's even more scary is that it is suppose to rain again on Friday and we still have at least an inch of water in our vents. Not to mention we can't flush our toilets and showers have to be pretty much under 3 minutes...or until the water starts to flood into the bathroom floor.

The pictures are of the ceiling in my kitchen , above the kitchen cabinets where like all the other walls where it is dripping has run down, the flooring curling up, where the water flooded from our water softener and a sample of just one of my sweaty windows.

Every spring we deal with some water but this is the worst it has been in a couple of years. I think what makes it more painful to me is that we just got done painting every room in the house and putting in new flooring. Which has to be repaired now too. (we forgot to unplug our water softener and it ran a cycle and ended up flooding the area and under my new wood flooring which is even worse now than the picture on this post)I just hope after it dries out and I scrub the ceilings and walls it won't need to be repainted.

Like I told Lee(hubby) I am grateful to have a roof over my head even if it is leaking on me. :0)

Hopefully I will be able to post some cards and pictures of the cutest little "stampers supplies box" I made for my nephews in the next day or two.

Take care and I hope you find time to be creative but most of all tie to stamp.
